🤳 Why a Real Profile Photo is Required

Currently is built for authenticity, real-time connection, and genuine social presence.
To maintain a trustworthy and safe environment, we require all users to:

  • Upload a clear, real photo of themselves

  • Avoid using avatars, logos, celebrities, or group pictures

This helps ensure every interaction is real — not anonymous, fake, or misleading.

🧠 How It Helps the Community

  • 🛡️ Reduces fake profiles and spam

  • 🤝 Builds trust among users

  • 🔍 Improves discoverability and meaningful engagement

  • 🧍‍♀️ Makes the platform feel human, not like a feed of unknown accounts

🚫 What Happens Without a Real Photo?

If you skip or upload a fake/irrelevant image:

  • Your account may be restricted or flagged

  • You may not appear in Discover or Map

  • You could be reported by other users

  • Your visibility and engagement will be significantly limited

Accounts without real profile photos do not meet Currently’s quality and visibility standards (C-Rank).
