If you come across a moment on Currently that feels unsafe, inappropriate, or violates community guidelines, you can report it — and your report will be taken seriously.
🛠️ Step 1: Your Report is Logged Instantly
When you tap ‘⋮’ > Report Moment and select a reason (e.g., nudity, hate speech, spam, etc.):
The moment is immediately flagged in our system
Your report is 100% confidential — the person you reported will not be notified
🔍 Step 2: Reviewed by Moderation Team
Our trained content moderation team reviews every reported moment, often within a few hours.
They check:
The moment itself (image/video, caption, tags)
The context and any previous violations by the user
Whether the moment breaks any of our Community Guidelines
🚫 Step 3: Action is Taken (If Needed)
If the moment violates the rules, one or more of the following may happen:
Action | Reason |
Content Removed | For harmful, explicit, or misleading content |
Warning Issued | First-time or borderline violations |
Account Restriction | Temporary limits on posting or visibility |
Account Suspension | For repeated or severe violations |
If the report is not valid, no action is taken — but the report is still recorded for reference.
🔔 Step 4: You May Be Notified (Sometimes)
In most cases, you won’t receive a direct follow-up
For serious reports (e.g., hate speech or abuse), we may send a status update confirming that action was taken
We never disclose details about the action or the user
🙅 What Reporting Does NOT Do:
It won’t block the person (you can do that separately)
It won’t delete the moment immediately (unless it's auto-flagged by our system)
